Toshiba has launched a new product today in Japan, the RD-X3. This new device is a HDD and DVD video recorder and comes with a 160GB harddisk and a DVD-R/DVD-RAM recorder. Besides that it has image-enhancement circuitry with progressive video scan. The device is also able to connect to the internet and has functions such as program recording by PC or mobile phone.
The RD-X3 offers home users a 160GB HDD, the largest drive of any HDD & DVD video recorder, capable of recording a maximum of 208 hours of programming. The recorder also supports a DVD-RAM/-R drive that can record up to 12 hours of video on a 9.4GB double-sided DVD-RAM disc.
