During his long career at Nintendo, the late Gumpei Yokoi engineered everything from a mechanical toy hand to the blockbuster portable Game Boy. He also dabbled in game design, and the fruits of those labors resulted in some of the best video games of the last twenty years. His most well-known game must be Metroid, the Alien-inspired 1986 masterpiece that introduced the world to intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran. Two sequels followed in 1991 and 1994, and only now, eight years later, is Nintendo ready to unleash two more games in its futuristic saga. While the GameCube's Metroid Prime happens before Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion is effectively its sequel. Yes, Metroid 4 is finally here.
