Microsoft Corp. today announced the 10th anniversary of Microsoft® SQL Server (TM) on Windows® at the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) Community Summit -- Seattle, the largest user event exclusively dedicated to SQL Server. In the opening keynote address, Gordon Mangione, corporate vice president for SQL Server at Microsoft, highlighted past and future innovations in SQL Server and the many customers and partners that continue to develop on the Microsoft SQL Server platform. Building on this foundation of innovation, Mangione announced the availability of SQL Server 2000 (64-bit) beta 2 and the availability of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) beta 1. He encouraged developers to join both beta programs and reinforced Microsoft's commitment to deliver a set of dependable tools that provide the highest level of performance, manageability and scalability.
