For most people, getting through the deluge of e-mail each day seems like an insurmountable chore. Sorting through junk mail, prioritizing business mail, and responding to the never-ending requests from the boss can become a full-time job. Still, the only thing worse than receiving too much e-mail is realizing that the e-mail client is broken. And this typically happens during the most critical time; at least it did for one of our BugNet readers. BugNet has reproduced a condition where Microsoft’s Outlook freezes on the opening splash screen, preventing the user from accessing the Inbox. It appears that under certain conditions, Outlook has a problem loading when an Inbox message is either damaged or corrupted. Our testing partner, KeyLabs, was able to verify the circumstances that prevent Outlook from completely loading.
