When Acclaim announced a next generation Turok game everyone was sure it'd be exclusive to the GameCube on account of it's lack of any sort of departure from Nintendo since its conceptual birth. For an impressive, yet unbalanced series that has spent most of its life on the N64, Turok has done quite well for itself, with the franchise's name fairly well known in the gaming world. Selling in excess of 8 million units spread across three titles specifically developed for Nintendo's cartridge based behemoth; the brand obviously has the selling power to warrant development of further sequels, with the first foray onto the new consoles coming in the form of the surprisingly non-Nintendo exclusive Turok Evolution.
