When Jose Lorvao took delivery of the most advanced interactive television system in the world, he relished the chance to send e-mail, check his bank account and record movies on his TV set while snuggling into his sofa. "I thought it was a great idea. It sounded like fun," Lorvao said of the iTV system devised by Microsoft Corp. and marketed by Portuguese cable operator TV Cabo.
