Microsoft has vowed to keep Telstra as one of its top Australian customers in the face of the telco's review of its $1.5 billion annual information technology spend. Microsoft confirmed yesterday that chief executive Steve Ballmer would meet senior Telstra executives during a tour of at least 10 Australian companies later this month. But Microsoft enterprise chief Gerhard Rumpff said the IT giant was confident of maintaining Telstra as one of its biggest customers in the southern hemisphere.
