Microsoft's early ventures in southern India have taken on a life of their own in today's Eastside economy. Several of the Eastside's best-known high-tech entrepreneurs immigrated from India and established high-tech companies over the past decade in a side effect known as the ``Baby Bills.'' These former Microsoft executives, after accumulating a wealth of stock options, left the womb to start their own businesses, invigorating Eastside business and culture.
