The software giant quietly loans the troubled Web integrator $12 million -- interest-free. And IBM and Novell aren't ready to jump ship, either.
The financial backing comes at a critical time for marchFirst. The Internet professional-services firm earlier this month dismissed about 1,000 employees -- roughly 10 percent of its workforce -- as demand for the company's services declined.
