Steve Ballmer, chief executive officer of Microsoft Corp., will address the U.S. Department of Labor's 21st Century Workforce Summit on Wednesday, June 20 at 11:30 a.m. EDT at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. The summit will bring together leaders from business, labor, government and other areas to discuss to the structural changes affecting the U.S. work force and economy. Ballmer is expected to focus his remarks on what can be done to close the skills gap in our work force and ensure that people have the technology training needed to succeed in 21st Century. Ballmer also will join U.S. Commerce Secretary Donald Evans, Howard University President Patrick Swygert and others in a question and answer session on work-force skill gaps. Cokie Roberts from ABC News will moderate the session.
