"Spider-Man" will creep into home video just after Halloween. The summer's highest-grossing film, about a nerdy teenager who becomes a web-slinging superhero, is scheduled for release Nov. 1 in a two-disc DVD package and bare-bones VHS format, according to Columbia Tri-Star Home Entertainment.
Planned extra features include footage of star Tobey Maguire's costume, makeup and screen tests, and a detailed history of the Marvel Comics character, his friends and his archenemies.
The discs also will contain interviews with renowned comics writer Stan Lee, who came up with the "Spider-Man" idea nearly 40 years ago, along with comments from many of the artists who worked on the series over the years.
