  First Global Microsoft Mobility Developer Conference Accelerates Wireless Application and Services Development

At the first global Microsoft Mobility Developer Conference, today Microsoft Corp. and mobile industry partners are taking significant steps in the development of mobile applications and services. One thousand technical professionals from a range of companies including mobile operators, independent software vendors (ISVs), enterprise organisations, OEMs and system integrators, will gather during a series of executive keynote speeches, technical sessions and industry forums, aiming to accelerate the development of wireless applications. At the Microsoft Mobility Developer Conference, Microsoft will be making a number of announcements, including the unveiling of new Windows® Powered mobile devices and a set of new tools and services, all designed to broaden the opportunity for the developer. The event marks the second anniversary of the launch of Microsoft® Windows Powered Pocket PC. In this time, Microsoft has made major progress towards achieving its vision of enabling people to access information at any time, any place and on any device.
