Most of the levels we looked at were from the early parts of Halo: the second mission ("Halo") where you first land on the strange ringworld; "Truth and Reconciliation," a mission that starts at night and involves lots of long-range sniping in an effort to infiltrate a Covenant dropship and rescue your captain, and "The Silent Cartographer," which starts out with maybe the signature moment of Halo -- the full-scale beach assault. Indeed, it's hard to spot many differences (if any) between the structure of these levels and the originals from the Xbox. Technically, some of the levels actually look better, with some textures that actually appear bump-mapped when lit with the flashlight. Gearbox is working actively with both NVIDIA and ATI to get the game looking its best, so you should expect lots of pretty visuals regardless of which chipset you're using. | ||
