Emery Forwarding, a global transportation services provider that is part of Menlo Worldwide, wanted to offer its customers real-time information about their shipments, which would lower costs by reducing the amount of inventory they would need to keep on hand. To develop such a system, Emery needed a way to combine its existing software applications with new XML Web services and other technologies. Emery turned to Microsoft for its enterprise application integration (EAI) solution. | ||
