GameSpy have posted a Preview of the upcoming game from Blizzard. This upcoming RTS has the preview based on the single player campaign. Here is part of the preview: Rob Pardo, lead designer on Warcraft III, took us on a visual tour of the game, explaining that the seven movies are the game introduction, the prologue, the lead-in to the human campaign, and victory cinematics for the four playable races. These movies are designed to put the player into the game and provide details that would otherwise be hard to include in gameplay. In-game cinematics (using the game engine) are also used to advance the story. After the cinematic glimpse, Pardo took us through some of the game, explaining some of the differences from the original two games, and how the Blizzard team has tried to add some RPG-style choices to gameplay to give players a feeling that they have more control over their destiny. | ||
