If you hear a different sound coming from Redmond today, it may be Microsoft lawyers singing the old John Denver song that starts "Almost heaven, West Virginia." Yesterday, West Virginia dropped its appeal of the landmark antitrust case against the software giant and reached a settlement in which it would receive $21 million in software, computers and cash. | ||
