First Alpha of ICQ 2001a 5.03 Hits The Web | |

Thanks Anthony! Mirabilis has just released on its FTP the first alpha version 5.03 of ICQ. This long awaited new version of "I Seek You" brings several enhancements. First the setup file is smaller (271KB) since all files will be downloaded during the installation. Then you'll be glad to know a spell checker is here to make sure your outgoing messages don't contain numerous mistakes. The bad news is there are still advertisements in the composing message's windows but heh Mirabilis' developers should eat everyday. The service now supports emoticons like MSN Messenger & AIM did for years. And best of all contact lists can now be hosted on ICQ servers so when you reinstall the software you don't lose your buddies! Many other enhancements have been added to this release: go ahead and download it right now! | ||
