Company Accepts Commission’s Specifications Related to Media Player Remedy Microsoft announced today that it has accepted a number of additional changes requested by the European Commission relating to the design and description of the version of Windows without Media Player. In addition to other technical and packaging changes to the version of Windows without Media Player, Microsoft has agreed to:
The company was required to develop this new version of Windows, which the Commission recently instructed Microsoft to name "Windows XP Home Edition N" and "Windows XP Professional N," as part of the Commission decision issued on March 24, 2004. A year to the day after this Decision, the Commission provided Microsoft with a list of additional changes to make to the product. We are pleased to have finally received this feedback, and now that we have it, our interest and priority are in implementing the Commission's instructions as quickly as possible. | ||
