I've just spent a week playing with T-Mobile's Pocket PC Phone Edition, the first product to hit the market with Microsoft's new phone-enabled handheld operating system. My conclusion: While this gadget is impressive, it's still more Pocket PC than phone. And that, for me, means it can be simply maddening. (Never heard of T-Mobile? It's the wireless company formerly known as VoiceStream, bought by Deutsche Telekom last year, now being rebranded.)
