Microsoft is truly Gulliver in the land of Technology Lilliput, and some figures released late in December from New York-based Jupiter Media Metrix indicate just how high the giant towers.
Figures the company provided for November 2001 show that almost 88.3 million people in the United States got on the Internet - and Microsoft's Internet Explorer reached 74.2 percent. If you add the 4.7 percent who used MSN Explorer, the number climbs to 78.9 percent.
