Imagine if World War II had never ended. That Europe is still torn apart by bitter conflict fifty years later. Hitler is now just a brain riding around on tank tracks commanding his laser-firing, Nazi terminators by telepathy. Yep, it's the crappiest, most unoriginal game concept ever. But that's okay, cos Iron Storm is actually based on the idea of World War I never ending. That's cool!
Well actually, we don't know if it's cool. But this PS2, PC and Xbox game from Belgian-based Wanadoo (creator of games like Dark Ages of Camelot and some stuff that doesn't get us aroused) is described as a first-person shooter that combines action and infiltration. Sounds novel. Oh, it also "creates an alternative history caught between reality and fiction." Woo. And also features trenches (although why they'd still be around fifty years later, is not explained. Where are the helicopters?)
