Electronics Arts has reconfirmed its support for the Microsoft Xbox, following rumors that the company had postponed a handful of projects for the console. An Electronic Arts spokesperson told GameSpot that the company has several games in development for the Xbox, including four games--Madden NFL 2002, NASCAR Thunder 2002, Cel Damage, and The Simpsons Road Rage--that will be released alongside the launch of the console. "Let me assure you that Electronic Arts is in development of a full complement of Xbox titles," the EA spokesperson said. The company currently has a contract to release at least 10 games for Microsoft's console, which includes the four launch games.
