Nvidia has announced details of a new mobile GPU, the GeForce4 460 Go - designed for mainstream thin and light notebooks.
The card features a core of integrated technologies including Nvidia's PowerMizer technology, which improves power saving, a dedicated video processing engine for DVD and video playback and an improved memory architecture for fast graphics performance.
"As the demand for high-performance notebooks increases, the ability to balance power concerns with outstanding performance is a key differentiating factor for mobile users," said Sunder Velamuri, senior director of mobile product management, Nvidia. "The GeForce4 460 Go delivers the best performance per watt in the industry and provides all the functionality required for the most demanding work and play applications."
The GeForce4 460 Go is now available in the Toshiba Satellite 5205-S70s notebook.
