I got this hint from a Kobold, not Kobold. :-) Use the Windows Installer package (Update.msi) to deploy Service Pack 1 (SP1). This package uses the Windows Installer service to monitor the proper installation of SP1. This deployment method assumes that you have a basic understanding of the Windows Installer service. Additional information on the Windows Installer Service can be found in the step-by-step guides that introduce the Change and Configuration Management features of the Windows 2000 operating system. | ||
