Microsoft Corp. on Thursday reported a 12 percent rise in quarterly net profit, but weaker-than-expected sales and a cautious outlook left investors scurrying for cover. Shares in Microsoft fell nearly 7 percent in after-hours trading following the earnings release, but gained some of that back to trade around $54.89, off 2.6 percent from its Nasdaq close of $56.37. | ||
