The original Silent Hill freaked me out enough with that elementary school filled with children-zombies, so when I heard that Silent Hill 2 was coming to the PS2 I was excited. That wasn’t enough for Konami however, who decided to create an Xbox version of Silent Hill 2, but they didn’t just straight up port the game. A good call on their behalf, Konami added an Xbox exclusive chapter, ‘Born From A Wish,’ as well as touched up the visuals of the game. “Born From a Wish” will add about 4-6 hours of added gameplay to Silent Hill: Restless Dreams, giving Xbox gamers a more in depth experience of the hell that is Silent Hill. In this scenario you will switch roles as you take control of Maria, the attractive stranger that is the spitting image of Mary, the wife that James Sutherland has been searching for…even though he believes she is dead. In order to prevent yourself from giving up all the secrets of the game, make sure you play through the main scenario before you check out the sub scenario. Even if you have played the PS2 version, you will be able to play as a new character with new areas to explore, and new characters to interact with. So prepare yourself for even more blood-churning, vomit inducing, ghastly specters and ghouls that you could imagine…and plenty of surprises you wouldn’t have expected.
