Microsofts next move in the Windows vs. Linux battle | |

Are you convinced that Windows environments are less expensive to own and operate than Linux computers? Martin Taylor, the manager behind Microsofts anti-Linux strategy, believes the companys Get The Facts marketing campaign along with a bunch of one-on-one meetings with customers has effectively muted the old argument that Linux is cheaper than Windows just because the open-source OS can be downloaded for free. Going forward, Taylor plans to put more emphasis on how Windows compares to Linux when used for specific purposes, or what he calls scenario stacks. | ||
