Thief 3 AI bug spoils Eidos' launch | |

As Thief 3 marches out the door stateside, and the European launch looms (this Friday), a rather nasty bug infesting both the PC and Xbox version has been spotted, and looks set to mar Ion Storm's Thief debut. Thief: Deadly Shadows features advanced guard and soldier AI on the hardest difficulty, enabling them to do clever stuff like spot open doors, notice moved objects and the like. Unfortunately for Eidos, whose Deus Ex sequel was heavily criticised for betraying the series, the guard AI reverts back to normal difficulty when saved games are loaded, thereby damaging the experience of playing on hard somewhat. | ||
