Which of the state's two biggest employers -- The Boeing Co. or Microsoft Corp. -- has the biggest payroll? It depends on how it's calculated. Even though commercial airplane behemoth Boeing employs more than twice as many workers in Washington state as Microsoft, the Redmond-based software giant's total payroll surpassed Boeing's at the turn of the millennium. | ||
