Bill Gates, the chairman and co-founder of Microsoft, is investing $100 million in the fund business of Mario Gabelli, one of the best-known U.S. money managers. Gabelli Asset Management, which oversees about $26 billion in assets, said on Monday it agreed to sell $100 million of convertible notes to Gates' private investment firm, Cascade Investment, helping Gabelli expand in Europe. | ||
