Microsoft holds back on further EU concessions | |

Microsoft Corp. is holding back on making further concessions to European Union antitrust regulators, waiting to see first what happens in the United States, John Frank, the company's top European lawyer, said Thursday. The firm stance comes as Europe's three-year-long case against the U.S. software giant moves towards its climax, with a final ruling expected shortly before or after the August summer break. The European Union Commission can fine a company up to 10 percent of its annual turnover and anti-Microsoft lawyers talk of at least a 500 million euro (dlrs 450 million) fine. | ||
