Twice a year, the team at Microsoft's Live Labs meets to vote on what new projects they should work on over the course of the next six months. What would add value to Microsoft's Web initiatives? What would have the most strategic impact? What could be the next Photosynth, the 3-D photo stitching application, which Live Labs launched to wide acclaim last summer? In mid-February, right after Live Labs had chosen its latest set of projects, I stopped by for a tour at Live Labs headquarters in downtown Bellevue.
