Microsoft Corp. defended its nascent Internet computing and electronic-commerce service in court hearings Thursday as more open to competition than similar services being developed by rival AOL Time Warner Inc. John Borthwick, vice president of AOL Advanced Services, took the stand both Wednesday and Thursday to defend his allegations that Microsoft could, if unrestrained, use its Windows operating system to funnel electronic-commerce transactions through Microsoft . | ||
