CeBIT: TDK Goes into DVD-R/RW Business | |

At the CeBIT TDK has announced that it will join the DVD-R/RW burner manufacturers. In June the DVD burner shown at the fair shall be available. The TDK DVD-R/RW burner writes on DVD-R media with two-fold (2.7 Mbytes/s), DVD-RWs with simply speed. The manufacturer gives for DVDs a read capacity of 6x, for CDs of 24x speed. 2 Mbytes memory shall protect against Buffer Underruns. Two burner versions shall be launched. An internal EIDE drive and an external with USB 2.0 or FireWire interface. Prices have not yet been fixed but for the media. A DVD-R from the House of TDK costs 10 Euro, a DVD-RW 30 Euro. | ||
