Microsoft releases updated dev-tool roadmap | |

Microsoft has published to its MSDN Web site an updated roadmap for a number of new developer products it is planning to release over the next few months. In a nutshell, here's what's on the books: * Visual Studio "Orcas": Beta 1: Q2 2007; Beta 2: Mid-year 2007; Final release-to-manufacturing: To be determined (Microsoft officials said recently the plan is to release the final Orcas product before the end of calendar 2007.) * Visual Studio Team System "Rosario": Microsoft tried to stuff the Rosario genie back in the bottle after acknowledging its existence over a year ago. On March 26, Microsoft posted a list of new testing, project-management and other features for Rosario, which it is decribing as the next version of Visual Studio Team System. | ||
