Microsoft® Authenticode® technology allows software publishers to digitally sign executable (EXE), Microsoft ActiveX® controls (OCX), cabinet (CAB), and dynamic-link library (DLL) files. This article will describe and discuss the steps involved in digitally signing a smart tag DLL using Authenticode for testing purposes. These steps can also be used to digitally sign EXEs, OCXs, CABs, and other types of DLLs with slight modifications; that is, by skipping steps that pertain only to smart tag DLLs. | ||
