Microsoft wants to make Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), the connection format used on Windows Media devices, a broad standard, as opposed to the previous USB Mass Storage Class (MSC, also sometimes called UMS). But even a member of the Windows Media Devices Group at MS doesn't think DRM is necessarily the best answer for musicians. | ||
