For the first time, talk about new Intel processors is raising the pulses of editors at Mac-centric Web sites. This is a major change from the years when Apple Computer's Macintosh computers were powered by PowerPC chips from Freescale Semiconductor and IBM. In those days Mac sites downplayed advances made by Intel—but no more. Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced just a year ago that Apple's transition to Intel would be complete by June 2007, but the changeover began earlier than expected. | ||
