Microsoft passes on operating system virtualization | |

Microsoft won't pursue operating system level virtualization for the next years. The technology will be a few years out, but in an interview with vnunet.com, Jim Ni, a group product manager for Windows Server Marketing declined to give a more precise timeframe. "It's too early to say as to when we will have these technologies rolled out, " said Ni. The technology certainly won't be part of Longhorn Server, the forthcoming version of Microsoft's server operating system. | ||
