Samsung Launches the Q1 | |

Yesterday, Samsung launched its Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC), the Q1, in the U.S. Starting May 7, the Q1 will be available for purchase from Best Buy online at www.bestbuy.com/ultramobilepc, and in select Best Buy stores later this summer. The Q1 features a 7-inch, widescreen LCD with touch-screen capability, weighs just 1.7 lbs., and runs Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. Standard battery life is approximately 3.5 hours (depending on usage). A 6-cell battery is available that doubles operating time to 7 hours, and an available battery pack further increases operating time to 9 hours.
