Spearheading its business intelligence initiatives, Microsoft introduces a business performance management application. Microsoft unveiled a business performance management product Tuesday that will integrate key business data into its Microsoft Office system, furthering the tech giant’s interest in the business intelligence space. The product, code-named Maestro, is the second in a line of the many products Redmond-based Microsoft will introduce in the coming months from its Information Worker Business group. The group creates products aimed at making businesses more productive by using services, programs, and servers that make up Microsoft’s Office system. The first announcement came in late April when Microsoft collaborated with SAP to develop Mendocino, an application that will link their business software programs after its launch late this year. With Mendocino, Microsoft Office users will be able to access SAP applications through extended application menus. | ||
