Microsoft Corp. today named Lisa Brummel, a 15-year veteran of the company who has led the Home & Retail Division for the past 10 years, as corporate vice president for Human Resources.

"Lisa understands our business inside and out; she�s passionate about developing great people and building high-performance teams; and she will help ensure that our development and business units have the people and tools they need to excel."

Brummel, 45, joined Microsoft in 1989 and has held a number of management positions, including general manager of Microsoft�s Consumer Productivity business, product unit manager of Microsoft�s Kids business, and product unit manager of Desktop and Decision reference products. Before joining Microsoft, she held various sales management and marketing positions with Prentice Hall Inc. publishing company.
