Another holiday season, another videogame craze. With its release of the Xbox gaming system Nov. 15, Microsoft is treading on a well-worn path cut by others who have come before, midnight launches and all. Indeed, judging by the hype machine and media coverage, you might think it's already a big hit. But for Microsoft, which basically runs the PC software industry as if it were a fiefdom, success in the $20 billion videogame console industry will take some time. | ||
