This article explores the differences between the Oracle Data Provider for .NET (ODP.NET) 9i and the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Data Provider for Oracle. The two providers have much in common, but there are also important differences. The Microsoft provider ships with the .NET Framework 1.1. All types are contained in the System.Data.OracleClient namespace. The Microsoft provider requires Oracle client version 8.1.7 or above. | ||
