Some things are so much a part of our daily routines that we just take them for granted; they work reliably day after day, and we don't even think to wonder about what's going on behind the scenes. Occasionally, though, we're jolted out of our passive acquiescence, only to be enchanted by the underlying "nuts and bolts." In this article, Alexander Kozak describes some of his finds related to dates.
