Open the door to Andy Wilson's room, the home of a modern day wizard. No bat's toes or eel skins here. Plenty of wires, webcams, a ceiling mounted laser pointer, speakers, pieces and parts from disassembled computers, and a collection of lamps. Serious toys for a man who found his passion combining hardware and software. His wizardly ways extend beyond his cluttered workshop. He once designed a golden sphere that commanded lights and laser pointers. He can move screens of computer data with a wave of his hand. Wilson and his research partner, Nuria Oliver, are working on innovative user interfaces to make it easier to use your computer.
