As the news of the European Union's sanctions against Microsoft, for what the EU considers the company's exploitation of its operating system monopoly, permeates the airwaves and fills column upon column in our national newspapers, news of a lesser-known, but likewise worthy case involving the software giant has gone virtually unreported. Future-Link, a New Jersey-based internet service provider, claims to have been on target to become one of the largest internet providers in 1997 when it was forced to cease its operations as a direct consequence of an alleged contract interference and misappropriation of Future-Link's customer base by what is now Microsoft. | ||
