From the Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft has released high-resolution shots of the Japanese Xbox controller. Take a really, really close look at this thing of beauty. While the Japanese Xbox controller is certainly more compact, that doesn't mean it's necessarily better than the U.S. controller. Heck, I wouldn't mind having one of each when (and if) the Japanese version is released in the states. Take a look for yourself (Caution: These screens are so high-rez that you can taste it... mmm... rubber buttons):
