Apple: Dual-2GHz G5 to reach education buyers first | |

While Apple may be on track to ship the dual-2GHz Power Mac G5 this month, the first supplies will reach education buyers, the company said. In a "Power Mac G5 Distribution Update" provided to resellers last week, Apple echoed its earlier press release in saying that the dual-2GHz Power Mac G5 will ship later in August. However, the first available models won't necessarily reach those who ordered the G5 first, the company said. "The initial supply of dual processor G5s will be allocated primarily to education orders so we can meet back to school deadlines," Apple said. "Our innovative products often require time to ramp to full production quantities." | ||
