This download applies to developers using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, Microsoft Visual C++ .NET, Microsoft Visual C# .NET, and Microsoft Visual J# .NET. The download will install the latest version of MSDE 2000 complete with SP3a. This version of MSDE 2000 includes up-to-date security including protection from the the W32.Slammer worm as detailed in PSS Security Response Team Alert - New Worm: W32.Slammer. It includes all of the files that are required to install a new instance of MSDE or to upgrade all existing instances of MSDE. | ||
